Reputation Management

Reputation management is about the influencing and controlling of an individual’s or group’s reputation.

Sometimes  reputation Management it’s called as online reputation or IRM and represents the practice of attempting to shape public perception of a person or organization by influencing online information about that person/entity. For example, public relations (PR) campaigns may be conducted to increase the visibility of positive opinions or to decrease the visibility of negative opinions.

The difference between public affairs and public relationship is that first one relates to matters that concern the public directly. This could include legislation, policing, public administration etc. The second one focuses more on the company’s connection with the public.

Reputation Management deals with the public image of a person, a group of persons or a company, but also with the public image of institutions, associations or even political parties.
Whether we talk about keeping a good image or restoring a bad reputation, Reputation Management is compulsory when one wants to influence public opinion on matters of interest or when one wants to sell more products or to sell services to the general public.
